AVOID STARHUB AT ALL COST. [Customer Service] One of the worst customer service ever. Please do not use StarHub just because it is cheaper. When something goes wrong with their service, they will just avoid responsibility and takes forever to help you solve your problem. They outsource their customer service to untrained individuals who are not able to handle your request and refuse to let you speak to someone higher up. [Mobile App] The App is still behaving as if it is 10 years ago, everything is so slow, helpline on there takes forever to reply, maybe 10 hours later or longer.

There is no way that a router I bought four months ago could break. When I called technical support when I had no internet connection in the first place, it was a huge hassle with Starhub and Linksys support being different and I just lost time because of the hassle of being passed around. As a result, I had to pay a $50 service charge for a faulty router. I highly don’t recommend StarHub and Linksys router.

[Customer Service] I'm already subscribed to DataTravel and I'm not aware that I already used up all the data alloted. No notifications and all! They only notified me when they started charging the per day data roam which I did not intend to use since I'm about to turn the flight mode off as I'm going back to Singapore already. I've asked their support to waive off the charge since I really don't need to use it. Their support in WhatsApp named Ronan is very unreasonable and don't want to cancel the charge even if I only used up about of more or less 10KB data. [Billing] Even if you only accidentally used (actually not even aware that I used it) a small amount of data in their data roaming, they will not cancel the charge of $19.00. Very unreasonable and they rather lose a customer than waiving it off.

Currently on Star Plan Plus ($29,99/mo prepaid disguised as a postpaid; you pay at the beginning of a month's billing cycle, not after) since 1st Feb. Decided to port out and got Zero1 SIM on 17 Feb 2023. Today it's 24 Feb and Zero1 tells me they can't do it because Starhub still hasn't released the number. Now past the minimum 3 days before billing cycle renewal and it looks like I will be needlessly billed by Starhub due to their tardiness. The WhatsApp and app chats are abandoned. No live person responds even after an hour of waiting, tried over several days. **UPDATE: Finally got to a live person today on WhatsApp after 30 minutes' waiting, but issue wasn't resolved**. The 1633 hotline doesn't let me in because it keeps saying my NRIC and phone number is wrong. This, and the fact that somehow the 5G speed provided by Starhub at home is now much worse (slower than 4G+, and I can seldom get 5G signal) than when I was with a 'regular' Starhub postpaid for years since 2018 till Dec 2022 (ported out afterwards) - back then, I could easily get 700Mbps 5G at home and with the same phone on Starhub! So it seems to me that I am getting a lower tier service vs their contract postpaid plans. My journey: Starhub Mobile+ 38 >> GOMO >> Star Plan >? Zero1 Note: you cannot port in Mobile+ plans to Star Plan even when both are under Starhub. Beware of Star Plan! Not sure if I will ever go back to Starhub either.

Hi CJ, how did you eventually get in touch with StarHub on porting out of your Star Plan? I am having the same issue now - I'm unable to port in to Zero1 because they said my number is "cancelled" under StarHub. It's evidently still very active under the Star Plan, I have reached out to all their human channels but none could help because the only way to seek help is through the StarHub app's chat - and nobody ever replied! At wits end.

Got a mobile + plan 1 year contract for my iPhone 12 Pro Max but no 5G signal at all. Called to customer service and been told that iPhone 12 Pro Max is not in the list of 5G compatibility list even this is the first 5G iPhone. They have no idea on when can open 5G for iPhone 12 Pro Max. Even with 4G speed, it is keep on streaming from Buona Vista to Sengkang during commuting. Internet is totally unusable. I decided to port in to Gomo and receive at bill shock that I have to pay for the early termination fee, which is about $280. Noo contract I ever receive during sign up using handphone and the customer service said can send to me, but the contract already useless if they were to send to me. Very very disappointed with their service and I am planning to change all my telco and internet to singtel when all the contract ends.

Starhub shutdown 5g nsa. Their 5g sa coverage is also patchy.

Phone delivery was delayed for 1 day. Received phone number is different with the one requested. Customer service has very slow response.

Poor customer service from smart support. Paid a total of $968 ( $12 monthly and $680) to replace phone only to find out that phone is replacement phone is faulty. Called Smartsupport to replace phone but they are unable to provide me with a viable solution. Requested for escalation to have someone else speak to me but Malar(Escalation Executive) refused to make arrangements for her line manager to call back. Extremely unpleasant and frustrating experience. Please do not bother getting SmartSupport. Easier to replace phone with AppleCare. [Customer Service]

Does StarHub Have The Best Mobile Data Plans in Singapore?

Overall, StarHub's plans might not be the cheapest across the board but they are still rather affordable. One of their plans, the 35 GB - 1-year contract SIM Only @ $35/per month, is good value for money. Not only do you get 1,000 min talktime, you also only pay $0.71/GB - which might not be the cheapest, but it is very affordable.

Additionally, StarHub being a more established telco, probably has better standards of services in terms of customer service and network connectivity.
