      I had ported my M1 line to MyRepublic (MR). After using MR’s home broadband for 3 years and after talking to some friends who use their mobile service i was convinced to do this. Usually their practice is that you will receive the MR new simcard via courier and on the same day at night from 11pm-2am the number porting will take place. I got the sim and received a msg from M1 that my number porting request was successful and the process will take place. But to great disappointment the number wasn’t ported that night. Instead my M1 line was disconnected. The next day morning i called M1 and was told that the number porting was successful and now the number belongs to MR. So i went to MR’s live chat feature and the staff promised that the number will be ported before the day end. That day i waited the whole day and the number wasn’t ported. So on the 3rd day (Saturday) i tried reaching MR and realised their live chat is only available from Mon-Fri till 6pm!!! So i had no choice but to call the MR lost mobile hotline. The staff initially disagreed to speak to me but when I explained my situation and how urgently needed my old number to be ported, he said he will sent a chaser to the porting team and by today they will get back to me and complete the porting. Around 5pm since nothing happened and no call was received, i called to the same hotline again. This time another staff spoke and he insisted on hanging up my call as he is only incharge of lost mobile calls. After again explaining everything he said he will transfer my call to the technical team. (I didn’t know they had a tech team working on weekend and I didn’t know they can be reached) no where online it’s stated and you can’t be routed to them through their standard call service. This time i had to re-explain and the staff said the earliest the porting team might look into my case was on Monday OR Tuesday! By this time im ready to beg the staff and help me. But they can’t!!! So im still waiting for my number to be ported and meanwhile anyone who calls my number will hear that my M1 line is not in service! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEIR MOBILE SERVICE! Totally unreliable and hopeless customer service and support! I really regret my decision to port !!

      My issue has been resolved as of today morning 10.35am and I would like to thank and compliment your manager Ms Shiela. Despite the earlier situation and experience being a great disappointment, I appreciate Ms Shiela for being extremely patient, professional and timely in her follow ups and in resolving the case. She even took the extra effort to keep the case ticket open and do a follow up today evening on the network quality, incase if there's any issue. Again she called in on time as promised to ensure my ported line and network was working fine before closing the case. This is what we call Customer Service Excellence! Understanding the customers' needs and queries. Making sure every point is taken note and addressing each and every concerns. Going the extra mile in making sure the customer leaves the conversation happy. Once again thank you Shiela. I am convinced to edit my ratings for the way you handled this.

      [Network] I have been with starhub for so many years in spite of the non-existent customer service but never had a blackout in network. I switched over in Jan 2021 and experienced that unfortunate blackout on 31 Mar. [Customer Service] Bullsh*t compensation by giving you 10 more gb on top of your already ginormous data plan, complete joke. you're lucky that the network went down at the end of the month that customers had to put up with you for another month before they can terminate your service, otherwise you'll still be charging them for the month of April anyway, right, my Republic? I'm getting out of here

      The 4G network tends to be somewhat unstable at times (SG far west). I tried gaming with it hooked up to my laptop via hotspot, but the latency on real-time games was consistently >100ms. Porting over from M1 was simple enough, even though there was some downtime around the transfer period (around 4 hours). I have not tried contacting customer support before but the MyRepublic app is rather slow, taking upwards of 30s-1min to fully load. During service downtimes, the app will be logged out completely and it will be impossible to check your data usage. Once service is restored, the app will act as if it was the first time you have logged in since installing the app (continues to display opening tips and tutorials).

      [Network] The speed is generally comparable to other network providers through the latency is abit higher than others. There was a major network disruption last week that lasted from 7am to 1pm. Hopefully it's an one-off thing and doesn't repeat as it will cause major inconvenience to users, especially nowadays we would need to use tracetogether to even get into workplace. Wish they could ramp up their service in the west region as the signal there is quite poor. [Customer Service] Customer service is good, generally responsive and prompt with human interaction when we request for it. However I feel the delivery fee of $5 is pricy. [Ease of porting] This was very smooth as they helped me to Port in on the same day of delivery even though it was a Saturday. [Mobile App] The app is slightly glitchy as some of the information could only be seen if I were to use a browser instead. However most of the information we need like data usage and call minutes are shown without issue. [Billing] No issues with billing as it just reflects the amount stated according to our cellular plan. No shocking or surprising cost involved.
