    really bad lol please avoid at all costs. if signing up is already so bad and got no customer service can't imagine what will happen if later on you need to contact them for help

    [Customer Service] I wish I could put 0 stars. It doesn't exist. Feels like you are trying to ask a wall what 2+2 is. It's obviously 4, but the wall doesn't say anything back. The things I am asking their customer service to do is very normal for CS staff to handle, but they just ignore you. They make you wait for hours, tell you submit feedback, ignore your emails, ignore your submitted feedback. And then at the end they have the cheek to ask you for more patience. [Ease of porting] The app and the website are both shit. Full of glitches and I don't even know what device it is designed for, because it doesn't properly work on my computer and it doesn't properly work on my phone. [Billing] If you ever get charged the wrong amount, forget trying to get it back. Get charged $100 for some roaming service you didn't activate? Too bad, it's gone forever. giga! = thief. [Mobile App] Awful. Even I could write a better one, honestly. Full of glitches, buttons don't work, popups have no text on them, list goes on.

    Pure shit. Warning signs: - Garbage app, visual glitches all over, buttons don't work, get logged out randomly -0 customer service. Absolutely none. There are "chat bots" which are basically useless. They tell you obvious things, like this is under this menu etc. -This company is the same as a carousell/gumtree scam. I tried to port my number, got charged, app glitched out and so the location never went in. Tried to contact support, waited 2 hours, got a live agent, they told me to send in the feedback form. Sent in the feedback form, waited 3 days (they said up to 72h), no reply. When they actually replied, they told me to reset my password. WTF???!!? Replied again, no reply up till now. No phone line, no physical office, nothing. Cannot contact anyone, my money just taken from my account like that. Absolute nightmare. They stole my money basically. Forget trying to save a couple dollars per month, you might get an aneurysm with this company.

    [Network] Leveraged on Starhub network, pretty good, i get good coverage even in underground carparks that Singtel has no signal in (in Sengkang area). Dead zones are similar to Starhub's network too. Overall 5/5 can't complain too much about it from my use case. Do remember to set up the apn (if it's not automatic on your phone) [Ease of porting] Simple and straightforward using the giga app. Had some issue on Singtel side when i wanted to port over but giga's process was straightforward, they will send you a message if it succeeds or fails by end of working day, [Mobile App] Straightforward and easy to use. Usage information available on the homepage and prices for add-ons are upfront too. Once in awhile they will offer promos for add-on's in the app and it's attractive for certain demographic of users. [Billing] Done through Credit Card payment, the app also reminds you with a countdown on the time to the next billing cycle. [Customer Service] Have not found the need to contact any CS staff yet. The in app self service bot provides me with all the help i needed.

Avoid giga at all costs. If you're lucky, the process works fine and the only hiccup is the awful app. But if you're not lucky, then it's really not worth it. Service doesn't exist at all. There is no line to call, there is only one live agent and you have to wait hours to get to him. Emails for help don't even get looked at. So if they mischarge you or you buy a roaming package and it doesn't work, there will be no refunds. For me, that's not worth the couple dollars saved at all.

Traditional telcos still offer lots of discounts for phone (under contract), but to balance this, your monthly fees will be higher compared to Sim only plans. Good for those who wants to keep changing phone every year or so. I'm personally with a traditional telco, M1, but under their Sim only plan. I buy a 1x good phone that can last me for years, but have a cheaper plan so that overall I save money. Moreover M1 sim only plan has 1000 mins, 1000 sms, 30 GB per month, best for all worlds, though connectivity may be abit bad in some parts of the mrt, but overall not a big issue.

Hi Harshit, Unfortunately, I believe the referral code promotion being run by Giga! was only available till 15 Jan 2020. Do keep an eye out on this thread though, it'll be updated with new codes if Giga! decides to run another referral promotion! Hope this helps!

According to their terms, you cannot use voice (including but not limited to outgoing and incoming voice calls and SMS) overseas. However, you will be able to receive SMS and this service is free. About giga!

giga! offers a contract-free SIM only plan (only $25) which comes with

  • 1000 outgoing minutes talk time

Can I Port My Existing Number To giga!?

Yes. To port-in or transfer your existing number, ensure that:

  • It is an active postpaid number (prepaid numbers are not supported for now)
  • It is registered to your name with the same ID you're registering with giga
  • It is not with TPG (TPG does not support porting)
  • It is not on any contract with your current telco - this might incur early termination charges

Here's how the port-in or transfer process works:

  • When you choose to port-in/transfer your existing number from another telco to giga, a temporary giga number will first be assigned and delivered to you
  • Upon delivery of the temporary giga number, your request to port-in will be processed within the next working day
  • Once your port-in is approved, your temporary giga number will be automatically changed to your existing number

What Is Free Data Roll-Over?

Up to 25GB of unused data from your giga plan will be rolled over for another 2 renewal cycles. Take note that data from Jetset giga roaming pass and other packs will not be rolled over.

Does giga! Have Roaming Plans?

Yes.

Here's how you can activate roaming on giga!:

  • Stack on the Jetset giga roaming pass at 1GB for $5 (valid for 5 days from time of activation)
  • Turn on 'Data Roaming' under your phone settings; no manual network selection is needed
  • Start surfing at your travel destination!
