  • Have been with m1 for a Long, Long time. Reliable telco, but I wished it could offer a bit more flexibility in terms of customising a mobile plan.

  • On a very very very old plan (since 10 years ago) with a 12GB monthly data for $41 every month. Though I enjoy the 12GB and was finding it very hard to part with 2-3 years ago (back when no one was offering such high data plans), now it is definitely a temptation to try out other brands. However, my only concern with jumping plans is that the terms and conditions might update and I might not have the chance to get such favourable data terms anymore :/ Overall, the M1 plan has served me well for the past 10 years, and I did not have to worry about bursting my data monthly (alright, sometimes I still have to)

    M1 Sim-Only Plan

Cheap and good. After years of using 12GB data on the iPhone student plan offered many years ago, this switch is definitely good. 30GB data + unlimited weekend(free for end of year) for $25 is cheap. There may be other telecos offering a better deal but I've been using M1 for 10years+ so rather stick to it

  • M1 has the best value in terms of Plan with Device as compared to its competitors. I have ported over from Singtel, process for porting was relatively fuss-free and customer service from the store was great, I have signed with M1 on their Corporate Individual Scheme plan - the best deal for anyone who prefers to have big data, decent talktime and the low upfront cost to pay for phones you desire to have. The implementation of E-Bill and their app is well made and convenient for me as well, since I am able to save my credit card details and deduct automatically to pay my phone bill.

    M1 Sim-Only Plan

M1 a Singapore telco mobile carrier has once been honourable and provided very good service. Even better than Singtel. But now the service simply sucks and was dishonest and unprofessional. Even violate the original contractual obligations. Very unreliable network and very rude and unprofessional service manager that refuse to do anything to help regain the network connectivity. Dishonourable and dishonest and poor service level. Calling M1 call centres used to be free if calling from M1 mobile numbers but now they even charge airtime if you call the M1 call centres for help. Being one of the best to now the WORST. That's M1 Mobile Service, Singapore

Hi there! I believe each CIS scheme is tied to the companies that offer them... eg your parent's or siblings companies. Alternatively you can also compare with the other sim only plans in the market, you may get a pretty good bang for your buck (in terms of data and talktime) as well! Switched to a SIM only plan 2 years ago and no regrets. Not only is it cheaper, but I also get the luxury of better customer service (maybe I am biased but I really noticed better customer service after I have no contract). I also have the luxury of switching to a mobile phone of my own choice and timing. I have a friend who noted that if he bothers to get the ideal hot phone of the time at the contract and sell off that phone, it could be cheaper. But there are so many hassles plus smartphones nowadays can last for 3 yrs or more, why bother. Stick to SIM only plans and enjoy the convenience, your own timing and savings!

In case it helps. I had contracted for M1 SIM only plan that gave 5GB about 2 months back. I heard a week back that M1 is offering 15 gb for the same price. I called up M1 and they recontracted me without any penalty or charges for 1 year and I got extra 10 GB. Very pleased

It's halted. Will probably jump close to offer price when it resumes trading.

Instead of the above, I suggest you go with this hack contributed by Seedly community members, get more cash back of couple hundreds a year. See the links below: https://blog.seedly.sg/cashback-hack-interest-posb-bonus-cashback-cimb-fastsaver-dbs-multiplier/ Summary: Ops for POSB Cash back bonus saver + CIMB fast saver 1% p.a 1) Use POSB cash back bonus saver by: (a) credit your salary ini (b) spend at least $1 on any POSB / DBS credit card (c) Buy investment such as POSB Invest savers using Nikkoa AM STI ETC etc. 2) Put your savings into CIMB fast saver 1% p.a and earn easy interest Next, my personal though is that: 3) With your spending of $300-600 on groceries, food, entertainment, EZ-Link and M1 bills) - If you can spend another $100 on something to make it $700, then apply BOC family visa card and get cash back on all the category: ! => By spending on BOC family visa, you can get cash back of another $20 to $50 every month! More $$$ back for your bang!! The BOC Family card cash back details and T&C: http://pic.bankofchina.com/bocappd/singapore/201803/P020180327710875490784.pdf
