      [Network] Sometimes line can get cut off unknowingly while playing games/when travelling. Not so stable compared to Singtel [Ease of porting] Was smooth, only waited for a few hours before port was successful [Mobile App] Interface was okay, easy to track usage [Billing] Was automated. Didn't have to constantly go in my app to see if I have paid the bill

    • Be warned! I was scammed by giga support - I was told that purchasing multiple 5 day APAC roaming packs before my trip would allow me to keep roaming for my 15 days trip, but all 3 packs expired within 5 days! I was even doubtful before I purchased all 3 packs before the trip, so I contacted support in the in-app chat at least 3 times to confirm what I was doing while buying the packs was correct, and was repeatedly assured so. To my surprise, all 3 packs expired on the 5th day and I've been left without data since! Support has thereafter been hostile towards my complaints, repeatedly throwing conditions that were not communicated to me during the purchase flow, and when I first contacted in-app support. Friendly warning to all so you don't get scammed by giga too!

      [Network] Had been with Giga for the past 1.5 week. The network seems to be choppy in the west area where I live. I usually get 1 to 2 bar of signal strength and on good days 3 bar on iphone 13. It can also jump to 3G out of nowhere. [at least 5 times in my residential home] The last time I experience this from my previous telco was when I am in the lift. Battery seems to be draining much more when I move to giga [not sure why when all setting are the same] [Mobile App] Mobile app sometimes hang in the white screen when I launch it. Have to close and reopen

    • [Network] Pretty fast, no issues with streaming videos. [Ease of porting] Ported over around 12am the next day, seamless and quick process. [Mobile App] Adorable graphics with pleasant-looking UI and great User Experience. Provides lots of details for your subscribed plan. However, app can be pretty laggy at times, overall no issues with such an affordable plan. Highly recommend!

      [Network] Best ever for me at home - consistently high speeds, no drops. At some places, it gets worse enough to drop to 3G or H+ connectivity with low data speeds, but this happens rarely. [Customer Service] Although chat is the only fastest way to reach out to them, they are fairly reachable every time. And they response well in time once connected. Thumbs up for that. [Mobile App] This is one major area of concern for me. Unnecessary and annoying popups for promo codes, top-ups is a huge let down. The app sometimes does not load any data and gets stuck on the splash screen rendering nothing.

      Honestly I just port over for a month on encouragement that it's fast and good. But I've been getting seriously poor connection. Be it in any shopping mall / even open space, I keep getting 'No internet connection' or loading of 1 page takes damn long! Worst customer service as well! I've been trying to reach out to a Live Agent on this issue for many times and I can't even reach a SINGLE agent. I've been kept waiting and after 20 minutes, the site auto locks me out saying 'Page has been dismissed You've been idle for more than 20 minutes'. LIKE seriously??? I'm the one kept waiting from giga's end but I got dismissed saying I was idle! I can't even leave a message for call back! As when I fill up the contact form, hit 'Submission' button, I get such error message "An error has occurred. Please try again in awhile or contact fresh desk for assistance" - Contact who please tell me when there is No number at all! I'm now left helpless on trying to settle for a sucky weak connection! I should look at other providers now if giga is not even interested in assisting any customers with such difficulty reach out.

      I am confused with the many negative reviews. I have been a customer of giga for 2 years now, and i have never had any issue in terms of connectivity, including in underground MRT journeys to and from work. Internet worked marvellously. No hiccups or buffering. I however frown upon their customer service and their app. Loading information on their app is very slow compared to other telcos. Customer service is slow to respond, but otherwise, i am satisfied. I paid far lesser compared to other telcos but i received the same service. Unless you are going to talk to the customer service everyday, there shouldn't be any problems in using their services.

      Am porting out after trying for a month. Very poor 4G connectivity at home, which is on the top floor of my block along a major road. Can't even get connected in some rooms. Speed was often than 10 Mbps (using speed test app). Same problem in some parts of Vivocity and Clementi Mall. When I raised the issue with customer service, and sent them test results, they asked for specific date/time of the tests. After I provided the details, they tell me their tech support says network speed is dependent on many factors including date, time, website, etc. WTF?!?!

      Does giga! Have Roaming Plans?

      Yes, gigaROAM offers roaming for APAC region and Rest of The World (ROTW).

      gigaROAM

      Here's how you can activate roaming on giga!:

      • For APAC, Stack on the Jetset giga roaming pass at 1GB for $5 (valid for 5 days from time of activation)
      • Turn on 'Data Roaming' under your phone settings; no manual network selection is needed
      • Start surfing at your travel destination!
      • For ROTW, gigaRoam ROTW (Rest of the World) pass comes with 1GB at $15, valid for 15 days

      Can I Port My Existing Number To giga!?

      Yes. To port-in or transfer your existing number, ensure that:

      • It is an active postpaid number (prepaid numbers are not supported for now)
      • It is registered to your name with the same ID you're registering with giga
      • It is not with TPG (TPG does not support porting)
      • It is not on any contract with your current telco - this might incur early termination charges

      Here's how the port-in or transfer process works:

      • When you choose to port-in/transfer your existing number from another telco to giga, a temporary giga number will first be assigned and delivered to you
      • Upon delivery of the temporary giga number, your request to port-in will be processed within the next working day
      • Once your port-in is approved, your temporary giga number will be automatically changed to your existing number

      What Is Free Data Roll-Over?

      Up to 25GB of unused data from your giga plan will be rolled over for another 2 renewal cycles. Take note that data from Jetset giga roaming pass and other packs will not be rolled over.

      This way you'll never waste data!

      Does giga! Provide Add-On data?

      Simply stack on one of giga's packs:

      • Data pack: 1GB local data for $2
      • WhatsApp pack: 1GB local data for WhatsApp usage only, for $1
