Got both the promotion rebate and the referral rebate. $40 cashback from amex too if u pay by amex recurring bill from now till sept! -- Update on Jul 2020 The website should be spruced up a bit more.. can't cancel recurring bill payments using credit card without contacting customer service.. otherwise still good value!

    The sign up process was extremely fuss-free and quick. When I signed up with Geneco, I found that the total rebates I could receive was the highest. I also liked their website the most among the retailers. It is attractive, easy to understand and to navigate to different areas of information. Now, as an existing customer, I often receive information from Geneco bringing me some rewards and value.

    [Update 1/7/2020] Wow, looking back, I have used Geneco for more than a year. The power supply has been great and I am glad to know that the price of my electricity bill is much lower than before. I will be renewing my plan with Geneco when my plan expires at the end of the year and I have no doubt that Geneco will continue to do their best in providing me with quality electricity :) [14/7/2019] Changed to Geneco last year and no complaints from me so far. The switch was seamless - a filling of the form and before I knew it, I was on to a new electricity provider. In my first month of using, I didn’t receive my electricity bill and was a little worried because SP Power didn’t reflect my electricity usage. Facebook messaged them and was answered within 2 hours that the first bill will come in 45-60 days. The promptness of their reply assured me of their high standards and care for their customers. I also love love love their referral system where I can intro my friends and family for cheaper electricity bill while earning additional rebates. You may PM me for more details if you need more information. I also like that it is e-billing because I hate receiving physical bills. And great that I can use my credit card to pay for it to earn cashback/ points/ miles!! With the rising tariffs, coupled with the competitive pricing of Geneco, I’m glad I changed to Geneco.

    Post sign up support is not awesome but you have little reason to contact them anyways. If you do, expect to wait a week between correspondence. Price wise, I found it to be the cheapest for fixed 2-year plans back when I signed up (not considering the freebies and promos). Been on the plan for about a year now, I would say it has been well worth it, given the recent CB and hot weather.

    I compared all the retailers and geneco had the best plan for 3 years to fix the electricity rate. I don't worry about market fluctuations for 3 full years at 17xcents per kW. My peers who haven't switched are paying considerably more. My monthly electric bill from 120 dropped to 80 or 90. Plus I got a 60cdollar discount sign on bonus.

How to switch?

Choose a plan on Geneco's website, enter your details and wait for a Geneco representative to get in touch with you. Don't worry! Switching of retailers will not cause disruptions to your electricity supply.

Do I have to switch from an analogue to a AMI meter for the Get Free Sundays plan?

It is not compulsory. If an AMI meter is installed, one will be able to measure their actual consumption on a half-hourly basis, allowing actual Sundays off. If you use an analogue meter, you will be given Sunday’s off based on the daily load profile that the Energy Market Authority has developed.

How long does it take for me to switch over?

After sign up and submission of verification, Geneco will begin the verification process. The transfer process will take approximately 2 to 4 weeks upon submission of NRIC/FIN.

Are there fees for early contract termination?

Yes, there will be an early termination fee charged based on your dwelling type. Please refer to your contract for the exact amount.
