    SCB Unlimited Cashback Card

[Cashback Card] Customer Service & Fee Waiver process is very-very lousy for this SC Cashback Card . The only reason this card is popular because of 1.5% cashback with no minimum purchase required. Also, they have many promotions all year around for instant cashback for purchases. Overall good card & handsome cashback even for small purchases.

    SCB Unlimited Cashback Card

What more can you ask? 1.5% cashback on everything! Friend of Amex true cashback card (the same actually besides the first 3 month 3% reward). Make sure you enjoy the sign up bonus. I would recommend pairing this with other credit card like DBS Live Fresh/UOB Yolo/Maybank Family & Friends etc. if you have to optimise your cashback (3%~8%) Otherwise, lovely for the lazy people.

    SCB Unlimited Cashback Card

[Cashback Card] Honestly, 1.5% is really nothing. Out of $1,000 spent you get $15 back; but with no minimum spend and category limits, it's probably one of the cards you will use if you just want a no-frills cashback card. If you are forced to pay the annual fee, I think AMEX True Cashback card is a better deal due to fewer exclusions from the cashbacks.

    SCB Unlimited Cashback Card

Just got this card recently since I switched my main card to DBS Live Fresh from DBS Visa Debit while using this card as additional card. The sign up process was very fast, took me less than 2 weeks from sign up to receiving the card. Would recommend anyone who is looking for a fuss-free cashback without minimum spend / special conditions

Hi Amkaes, apologies but there is some typo in my review. What I meant was that I switched from Visa Debit to Live Fresh. The way I think about using both Live Fresh and SCB Unlimited - paywave or online payments will go to Live Fresh and big purchases will go to SCB Unlimited. Hope that helps!

    SCB Unlimited Cashback Card

Application process is smooth and you can get the card quickly within the week. It's a good overall card to charge all kinds of expenses to get the 1.5% cashback without any minimum spend. It's linked to the Unlimited$aver bank account, which does not give you a higher interest rate on your savings, but increases the cashback rate to 3% or 5% on card spending depending on your balance in the bank account. Best used in combination with other cashback credit cards linked to high interest bank accounts such as UOB One and OCBC 365/360.

  • Nice 1.5% cashback on everything without annoying qualification hoops. However, at best equal to HSBC Advance credit card which gives 1.5% with no requirements and can be much worse (for spend more than $2k, the HSBC offering increases to 2.5% and with Advance banking relationship gives up to 3.5% - so more than 2x better) The only caveat is HSBC is limited (spend up to circa S$3k per month) - so for really big ticket items this card maybe better. But given that is once in a while, this doesn't end up with a space in my wallet.

Very high cash promotions for new to bank sign ups. 1.5% unlimited cashback with no minimum spend, good for low spenders who don’t have to fulfil different category spendings. Hassle free!

UOB One

Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card

UOB One's general rebate is really hard to fully take advantage of - for the headline "up to 5% on everything" - the key part is UP TO you need to get exactly $2k per month for 3 months to get the 5%. Any less and you get lower tiers (3.3% or worse), even any higher you won't get more cashback so starts to effectively be lower than 5%. Given your spend amount - you could qualify for lowest tier and if you are confident that you could put through $500 per month consistently then maybe worth considering otherwise I would give it a pass.

Depends on your spending needs. Spree card has better cashback benefits for online and foreign transactions. It also has cashback cap but no minimum spend required. Unlimited cashback is a flat cashback % for all spends but has no cashback cap and no minimum spend required too. So, if you spend alot online maybe consisder spree card. If you spend alot offline, maybe get the unlimited. https://www.sc.com/sg/credit-cards/spree-credit-card/ https://www.sc.com/sg/credit-cards/unlimited-cashback-credit-card/

Only spend on DBS/POSB credit Card is counted for the DBS multiplier. You can just spend any amount on the DBS/POSB credit card (no min spend) to fulfil that criteria.

I think the best generic ones are stanchart unlimited card and amex true cashback card at 1.5% rebate on all spend, with no minimum. I personally have the stanchart unlimited card and will be getting the amex true cashback the moment i have a s$5k expense (because you get 3% for the first s$5k spent in the first few months. To maximize your rewards, to some general googling because these 2 cards have quite a big of sign-on bonus (i.e. pick your poison, either singsaver, friends referral, etc). If you want to see which merchants give you additional cashback (above and beyond these 2 great general spending cashback cards), check out www.whatcard.sg before your specific purchase, or as general research to which card to get that suits your specific consumption habits

In terms of Utility payment, best is to look for each retailer's website offer with the banks, so that you aim for the best deal as they have partnership that offer better deals than SCB Unlimited. If the retailers of your choice has no other deal, SCB Unlimited has no exclusion, so you can use it for anything (including phone/internet bill) and get the 1.5% cashback. However, if phone / internet bill provider has any deals with the bank (eg. m1 with citibank), those would have offer better deals that charge to SCB unlimited. Cheers

Depends. You can look into BOC Family card. 10% on Dining, 5% on online shopping. However minimum spend is $700 so you will be putting everything onto your card expense.

You will need to check directly with the bank. However, most merchants seldom accept now. So you are right, most premiums are excluded for rebates. But what I do know is they do accept the amount fir minimum spending.
