DBS Live Fresh Visa Student Card

One of the best cards I would recommend for students (and there's actually still a lot of value for those working as well)! After the nerf of the SC Smart Card, I don't think it is possible to find another no-minimum spend, 5% cashback card other than this. Use this for transport and entertainment like Netflix and Spotify and you'll see cashback of >$5 monthly 💪💪💪 As a student, an easy strategy would be to pair this with another general spend card like Standard Chartered JumpStart Debit Card for savings every month!

Great for students to use. I recall using it doing schooling days. DBS/POSB atm is everywhere and their app is also easy to use so check it out!

This student credit card is a must have! With no minimum spending to maintain, it's always good to know you have a credit card you can use without the worry of maintaining a certain monthly spending. Also, there are a ton of perks which come with this card, in particular, you get to enter Zouk for free!! Just make sure you go early to get your chop and you're good to go :-) and also, the card is super sexy, with streaks of glow in the dark artwork. Highly recommended!

Spending is limited to some merchants only. Important to spend on only what you can afford to pay back and to not land in credit card debt. Always pay your statement amount in full as a good practice

[Useful For...] - Public Transport aka SimplyGo, BlueSG - McDonald, Starbucks, Spotify & Netflix subscription - Cinema GV [Cashback Card] Give a good 5% cashback on above [Others] I only use it as my transport card and set it as main card to pay for the subscription or when using the McD app, pretty good cashback rate for these merchants.

[Cashback Card] Pretty decent card to earn cashback from public transport. After the $50 limit for Revolut, I will switch to using this card for the rest of the month. The $500 limit also does not bother me since I use GrabPay Card for most of my purchases. [Card Hacks] I think the cashback is only worth it at a few merchants, like public transport, McDonalds, GV and Starbucks.

Solid card for students, and I used it while I was still in college. Decent way to allow me access to a good number of services/e-commerce/etc. that needed credit card payment.

A pretty decent card for starters especially if you are still studying. The only downside is the $500 limit. Pros: - cashback on transport / "green" transport - additional cashback on favorite brands - Instalment Plans ($0 fee for 3/6 months) for purchases >$100 (only use it if you need to okay!) - Easily track your expenses via the app - Payment controls via the DBS app Cons: - at 0.3% cashback, you are better off with other $500 limit cards that offer you 1% at least. - $500 limit - Getting to customer service is a challenge - Payment controls function on the DBS app is buggy. I had to get a replacement card because of some bug. Set a $250 payment limit and ended up forgetting that I use this card for MRT rides. Insufficient balance.. and my card went into limbo.. yeah it is my fault for setting a limit.. :P

There's no minimum spending plus a 5 years fee waiver. However, might not be ideal for frequent or big purchase spenders as the credit limit is $500. Additionally, in order to get highest cashbacks rates, they are only applicable for selected merchants, and they are capped as well.
