[Others] Used the rewards card for quite a while as the rewards were not bad. Used the rewards point only for departmental store vouchers of $50 as they are worth the most.

besides the local big 3, citibank got to be the worst customer service i encountered. i got different answers from different officers for same question. even personally go down to branch also no use. the branch officer promised to follow up but there was no updates for some time. now only waiting for card to expire.

This is the best miles card for shopping. I am very satisfied with CITIbank reward points breakdown, so far there is no error spotted. I will continue using this card for shopping and grab ride.

It depends on your needs and spending habit. In order to do so, I will suggest to have complete understanding on our cashflow. Through this process, we will understand our earning ability and spending habit. Here is a guide to help you: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/understanding-your-personal-cash-flow/ From there, we will be able to identify the category of spending that you spend most on. Personally, I ain't a huge fan of the card since its rewards counts in stacks of $5. Therefore, further planning is required in order to maximise it. Here is everything about me and what I do best.

Hi anon, You will want to check the expiry date of your Citi rewards points as there is a 5 year period from when you earn them, but it is not a rolling period, i.e. they expire every 5 years from the date of card approval plus a grace period of 3 months. Say your card was approved on 1st Jan 2015, then every point you have earned so far expires on 31st Mar 2020. Visit Citi internet banking to check your points expiry date under "Rewards and Offers" - "My points summary". Now that you understand the validity of your Citi points, the next is to understand the validity of KF miles. They have a 3 year expiry period once credited into the program. Effectively, you have 8 years to accumulate miles and burn them. I have no idea how long you have used your Citi rewards for, but if you use it effectively, 8 years can really net you a lot of miles, even if you are not a big spender. Combine the 4 miles per dollar (mpd) earn rate of Citi rewards with the Citi PM for other general spend, and you can earn quite a fair bit of Citi miles and Citi reward points. To recap: Citi miles/Citi rewards are bank currency KF Miles are Krisflyer currency. They can be obtained by transferring Citi Miles or Citi Reward points to KF. Next thing would be the redeemption. You'll want to redeem for business at a minimum as it is not worth it for economy. One way is to consider either a one way business redemption or a spontaneous escape discount. Tokyo in return business is about 94K miles, or a spend of around $10K/yr on a general spend card. Even if there is no availability, you can consider Star Alliance partner awards. Generally quite doable, and there are promos that will boost your earnings faster.

1 Citi ThankYou point is 0.4 KrisFlyer miles. You will need to redeem a minimum of 25,000 ThankYou points at one time, and each time you do there is a $25 transfer fee. You will transfer points via the Citi ThankYou portal ( https://www.citirewards.com/cms/sites/globalrewards-sg-eng/index.page ). Login and look for the relevant airline under Travel-- Points Transfer. You'll see the transfer rates and applicable fees. More information on how to check your Citi points balance can be found here- https://milelion.com/2019/07/18/how-to-check-credit-card-points-breakdowns/

This sounds like a very late reply now but based on the categories you mentioned, I would choose Citi. The $5 block for UOB will make calculations a little bit tricky so I would avoid that. For Grab, these 2 cards don't give points. Citi is a hit and miss so it depends. Better miles card for your mentioned categories: Grab: Maybank Horizon Visa and AMEX Krisflyer card Dining Out: Maybank Horizon Visa. Hi, I guess you are referring to credit cards for EZ-link transactions? There's Citi SMRT card, Stardard Chartered unlimited cashback credit card and DBS live fresh card that comes with rebates and EZ-reload. Hope that helps.

Hi Melissa. 400000 Citi Rewards points convert to 160K KF miles. As a one-way saver award is already 95K miles, you only have enough points to redeem a one way. If that's ok with you, then you can consider booking a SQ J on a one way. Next, you'll want to consider whether you prefer to fly direct on SQ 32 or have a stopover in HKG on SQ 1. The key difference would be the cabin product (A350 vs B777) plus the fact that a stopover allows you to take a break and freshen up. Then you'll have to search for award space and pray that it is available. Get on the waitlist and hope it clears. The alternative is to transfer your Citi reward points to other FFPs. Asia Miles/Etihad come to mind, but you will have to check the award availability and cost of the redemption and do your numbers to see which is worth. Asia Miles could be a good option as you'll get to try the Cathay lounges in HKG, which I hear are very good. Cathay also has good service and a decent cabin product from what I read. Good luck with your redemption!

Personally, I'll stick with Citi.. UOB's rewards structure is in blocks of S$5 spent. Whereas citi's as I recall is for every dollar. You'll also vomit blood getting fee waivers from UOB.

If your spending on CC is huge, converting to miles is typically what people do if they have intention of getting a biz flight or first class. You can refer to other articles write up on the calculation. For economy class the ratio is not that worthwhile comparing to biz/1st class. In summary, yes, converting CC points to miles is good only: 1) High spending on CC ($xxxx per month) 2) Redeeming Biz or First class. my 2 cents.

I just want to highlight the bonus points about citibank rewards because these two cards offer similar rewards for shopping. From now till 31 July 2018, CR gives 8mpd for Apple Pay transaction. No cap. From now till 8 July 2018 Shop at Lazada and earn 8 miles for every S$1 spent On top of that, they offer Up to 10% Citi Rebate at over 300 locations, including Starbucks, Subway and Sheng Siong. So you are practically getting 2 times rewards. If you are a LiveUp member, you get 8% rebate instead of 5%. Though the above mentioned promotion has validity till July, if you need to apply the card now, grab the opportunity.
