[Cashback Card] With minimum requirements being $800 in order to get 10% off some categories, this sets requires quite some planning. Better off using other no cap no min card, rather than take a gamble on this and spend extra unnecessarily. Also the categories itself are also cap at $20. Also do note that you can't use cardup or ipaymy on this card - a painful mistake I made on my first month...

Good for cashback up to 1k spends mthly. Ancient interface for digibank / website T&C from website: The 10% cashback is capped at S$100 per statement month per Principal Cardmember, and up to S$20 per category. To qualify for the 10% cashback, you must spend at least S$800, posted in the same statement month. The 10% cashback consists of the base cashback of 0.2% and an additional 9.8% cashback. For spend beyond the cap, you will earn 0.2% cashback. Other terms and conditions apply.

[Useful For...] Nothing much to shout about apart from no annual fee. Basically, I signed up for the card in order to get the 1% p.a. interest on my CIMB Fastsaver account for my first $10,000 until June 2022. Didn't really benefit from its enhanced cashback benefits as one needs to spend $800 in a month to qualify for it in selective categories which are also capped at $200 per category.

Pretty high cashback, with the caveat that it only applies to certain categories and $800 minimum spend. But the good thing is that this card has no annual fee at all, so there is no pressure to hit a certain amount of spend in a year, in hopes of trying to get an annual fee waiver compared to other banks. I would recommend getting the card, and only use it in circumstances where you are spending on the stated categories, and am able to hit the minimum spend. Such as doing a bulk purchase on groceries in a month. As a bonus, if you also have a CIMB FastSaver account, you earn 1% interest on your first $10,000 balance till June 2022.

[Update 1/7/2020] I have since not used this card after they changed their T&Cs. I believe it is the same for many people here. The minimum spending and the maximum rebate for this card just doesn't justify my spending. Even though the 10% rebate is very attractive, one would have to check on the effective rebate after everything. If it is better than other cashback cards out there then I say use it because there is no annual fee for 3 years and that saves you the trouble of calling the bank. Though the app is not as good as other banks but that's just a small issue. [20/11/2019] This card used to be super popular when they changed their T&Cs to include 10% rebate for online shopping, dining and groceries! But even after they changed to include some not so common categories, I still use this card because of the good rebates :) 10% rebate for groceries and online shopping and beauty & wellness and at pet shops fit my spending well and allow me to get the most out of this card. Doesn’t hurt that there is no annual fee for this card so there is no hassle in calling customer service to try and waive it. But even if I did have to call, their customer service is excellent and responsive!!

Pls do check your statement regularly if you can. This bank is worst than loan shark. i only use for Giro for town council and some months may have lapses due that i have over paid. They will not inform you and charge late charges with finance charge secretly . unlike other banks who will send letter to remind .There are no leeway for any waiver even you explain. Money come first. Regret signing with this bank. Do take note.

Ever since CIMB changed their terms and conditions, this card is not attractive anymore with respect to its cashback. The 10% cashback is now capped at S$100 per statement month per member and up to S$20 per category. To make things worst, member must spend at least S$800 in the same statement month. There is no harm keeping the card. However, there are other better cashback cards.

[Cashback Card] 10% cashback across 5 categories including Beauty & Wellness, Online, Grocery, Cruises, Pet Shops and Veterinary Services. with a minimum spending of $800. Although cashback is one of the highest (10%), but it is capped at $20 per category, i.e. $200 spending on a particular category will hit the cap for the cashback. Might still be a worthwhile card for if you are able to maximum out the cashback awarded by hitting 4 categories with $200 spending for each category.

Used to be generous in terms of rebates. But have already tighten their purse. I also like their no transaction fee for overseas spending, but there are so many options now. Overall, decent card to have.

The Best Cash Back Credit Cards Review 2021: How does CIMB Visa Signature Compare

      Pros:

CIMB VISA Signature is suitable as a starter card for new working adults, as it has 0 annual fees and a manageable annual income requirement. Additionally, it is useful for those with pets as it is one of the few cards offering cashback for pet-related services.

      Cons:

However, the CIMB VISA Signature may not be ideal for bigger spenders as the S$20 cap per category is quite a paltry sum for some especially for categories like Veterinary Services and Groceries.
