In response 2 andy, i would never go for myrepublic. They started pretty well. Service was attentive & personal, gave us quite a bit of warning for downtime. They then started refusing to take support phone calls. That sounded a bit absurd to me bec they're supposed to be both ISP & telco. Whats more, when i connected via IM, they DEMANDed my ic# which should not be necessary. Asking for ic# in my opinion violates PDPA. i have an account # which i can provide them, also i could provide them with my adress which should be good enough. This just in today.

Dora, about 8mo ago, singtel became very agressive abt asking people when did they sign up for broadband? i was asked at west coast central, clementi central, even downtown! Last 2mo however, they've stopped. I wonder if it was bec some time back, there was a singtel outage which was front page news? Naturally, things like that happen. it even happened 2 starhub & that was in the news too.

I am currently with whizcomms, the next best was viewquest but i found whizcomms voice plan was 1-time, & for subsequent contracts, its free. IDD is also cheaper. I've been on whizcomms & i'm pleasantly surprised, i've never thad any downtime, neither schduled nor unscheduled!
