We recently renewed our broadband service with Singtel, but the following month, we noticed charges for three extra services that we hadn’t agreed to. Singtel automatically activated one of these add-ons, notifying us by email. Even more confusing, two other add-on services weren’t activated at all, yet we were still charged for them. Although Singtel sent us emails with activation links for these services, we never used them, but they charged us anyway.

I ended up spending a lot of time trying to resolve this. Communicating with Singtel’s virtual assistant, Shirley, made it even harder—it’s nearly impossible to reach a real person, and by the time you do, a lot of time has already been lost."
