    MSIG TravelEasy Premier Plan

The claim submission takes more than a month and claim procedure is full of hassle to provide documents and receipt which does not make sense when the purchased item has been months or year ago. The ease of claim is not true and not reflect the actual situation that customer experienced. First and last time customer

DON'T BUY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY! Most horrible travel plan i ever got! assistant "Manager" WEE SAY BAIN from claims services is so horrible & unprofessional! submitted claim online, waited 2 weeks but no reply from msig, so called them & told will get the claims services team to contact me. waited another 7days no call from them. called them again and get connected to this WEE SAY BIAN so call the assistant "manager" and she said did sent email to me, i checked, but no! then she said will send another one to me, only then noticed she sent the last one to wrong email address, confronted her, but no apology from her & show attitude of "who cares"! 5th week claim successful and received email from her & saia she "pleased" to inform me that she's not able to pay the amount via PayNow! waited another week for cheque via post mail which need to bank in to my bank account! Total 1 month & 2 weeks plus just to claim a $500 for lost money for my son. WILL NEVER BUY FROM MSIG AGAIN

    MSIG TravelEasy Premier Plan

[Purchase Process] Very simple online process, occassionally comes with great discounts [Claims Process] Very simple, as long as documents are properly furnished no questions asked. Regrettably I bought travel insurance with MSIG thrice and thrice I had to make claims, but all three times were fuss-free and they didn't make things difficult. First time was flight cancellation (for 3 pax) + car rental excess charges (for 2 pax, driver and additional driver) + medical incurred immediately after the trip (touched down in Singapore with fever that required hospitalisation). Second time was pick-pocketing in Europe Third time flight delay > 18hrs. So you can say I have claimed most of the common types of claims and the process has been simple. Cheque was issued. Only thing is the process was a little long, and although claims for the same claim event was submitted on the same day for different persons, the approval was 2 weeks apart. [Customer Service] [Terms and Conditions] Was helpful when I asked about documents required to prove claim event. Actually every thing was nicely spelt out in T&Cs.

Was easy to purchase as it is sold by DBS. Claim was easy and fast within 2 weeks. However, the price is not as competitive now. Other companies offered better rates.

    MSIG TravelEasy Standard

Was introduced to this company by my sister, and have been using it since until I switched over to Chubb a couple years back. As I can recall, the application process was fairly quick, fuss-free and easy, albeit being a little less professional-looking with their website. Didn't manage to go through any claims with them - so I can't give a fully accurate review of their service. Never had any issues with them though.
