Tiq sits under Etiqa Insurance, which was incepted in Singapore in 1961. The company is jointly owned by international banking group Maybank and insurance group Ageas. Collectively, the joint venture company - Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad - has served some 55 million customers worldwide.
Etiqa has been the the official assurer for the Housing Development Board (HDB) Fire Insurance Scheme since 2009.
