TLDR; Highly recommend the platform. I started using Tiger Brokers at the start of Dec '20 for its low fees and have loved it so far. It's the first platform I'm using for investing in stocks so I can't really make comparisons to other sites. However, I can definitely offer my personal experience using the platform.
Features:
Deposits into your account are fairly easy. Regular bank transfers on the tiger brokers website can take about 3-4 hours to process, so remember to provide screenshots of the transaction for your deposit to be processed smoothly. Alternatively, Tiger has added a new feature to make deposits easier with direct debit authentication, which allows you to deposit cash almost instantly. I set up this feature and after a single deposit, it was reflected in Tiger Trade in less than a minute. I don't plan to withdraw for a long time, but from what others have shared these take between 3-5 business days to be processed.
I deposit in SGD and do all my currency changes in tiger brokers itself as exchange rates are better than at banks. These changes are reflected instantly.
User Interface:
Very professional-looking interface and easy to navigate even for someone like me who is new to investing in stocks. I frequently add/remove stocks to my watchlist and refer to my own position to see how my shares are doing. All this has been flawless thus far. The mobile and desktop versions both allow for switching between light mode and dark mode (dark mode looks way cooler). Changes in stock prices happen almost instantly. I find myself using the mobile app more frequently for trades and the desktop version for looking at charts as the charts are more detailed on desktop. Both versions are very responsive and I haven't experienced any crashing or lagging.
Rates:
Highly competitive among other brokers, at 0.01USD/share and a minimum of 1.99/trade.
Customer Service:
Can't comment here as I haven't had a need to contact anyone yet. Hope it stays this way!
