Why should I use TD ameritrade or Interactive broker for US stocks / ETFs?

-to have your assets diversified onto

different continents

-to experience zero (!) commission fees for stocks and etfs

-to experience (TD Ameritrade) no

account maintenance fees

afterthought 1: Singapore commission fees will step by step also approach zero

afterthought 2: a U.S. brokerage account is not really that important if You follow a long-term buy&hold strategy

Use Interactive Brokers instead. It is the cheapest.

Yesterday I rebalanced my portfolio selling some of my bonds for equities, it only costed me around USD 9 for 3 trades worth value of around USD14k.

Interactive brokers, tiger brokers or TD ameritrade for buying US stocks (long term)? I’m currently using FSMone, intending to transfer over. Which is better in terms of fees and user experience?

Which broker to use for US ETF e.g. vanguard snp 500? Saxo or td ameritrade. Quite confused by the many costs.. Also, is roboadvisors another “alternative” to invest in us etf? I would like to buy and hold US etf, before dabbling in the rest.?
