Depends on what you are looking for presently? If you are looking for a miles card strategy, you should do something like this:

1. Work backwards from the location of where you are going. (for 2 pax)
2. Look at the miles cards in the market and which offers sign up bonuses and what the minimum spends on each to get the sign up bonus is needed
3. Understand the validity of the miles on each card (how long before they expire and whether you can transfer it from the points to miles
4. Talk to your hotel to stagger payment
