Why VGT ETF isn't as popular as QQQ for investing despite lower expense ratio and even slightly better performance? For buy & hold high volume and low spread of QQQ shouldn't be an advantage.

…. Welll~ first obviously is because nasdaq is one of the top 3 most well known index~~ if brokerage news feed or financial news keep posting about VGT of course people will notice it~~ but mostly only talking about nasdaq nasdaq nasdaq everyday

And, QQQ is not pure tech etf (only around 60-70%), yet VGT is 99% on info tech company if you compare the holding ~

VGT is more biased to some companies, their top 3 holding already 40%+ and lack of some popular companies like amazon google meta tesla (I’ll rather just buy the stock myself then)
~ QQQ is more diverse compare to that

So it also depends on what the investor prefer~ both is a good etf, if believe on what the vgt holding is, go for it lol~ but why isit not popular, my first reason still the main one 😂
