EToro is a social trading platform where you copy the trade of others. This method is highly risky and dependent on the abilities of the person you are copying. From Investopedia, 63% of retail CFD accounts lose money.
Roboadvisors on the other hand do not try to actively time the market but strategically allocate in specified security classes (equities, debt).

First thing is the robo-advisors have to be and are licensed by MAS. eToro is not. If you have any concerns about this, then eToro is probably not for you.
Secondly, eToro offers other alternative investments like cryptocurrencies, leveraged CFDs on stocks, indexes, currency pairs and commodities etc. They also allow trading in some stocks now. Their main value proposition is Copytrading or social trading where you can follow and copy a personâs or companyâs portfolio trades through the platform. Meaning you rely on the person/company to do the research/due dilligence and indirectly generate the returns for you. Again if this is all alien to you, eToro should not be an option that you look at now.
Any particular reason why you are looking at eToro?
