Should I port to giga or change to singtel sim only plan? All the bad reviews on giga is making me skeptical and scared about it?

I am currently using a Singtel combo 2 plan and it's kinda expensive considering the low data they give. So, my friend recommended me GIga and said she had no problem with it. However, after reading so many bad reviews here regarding Giga's customer service I am really confused... if I should really port over to Giga or just change my plan to Singtel SIM only plan that is $25 to be safe? It's kinda like a heng or suay thing from what I see, but I wouldn't want to be in that bad situation.

I just ported to GIGA last month, i would say it's not too bad so far.

$18/month for 200 SMS, 200mins calls, 40GB data. HOWEVER,

i don't really know if this is a phone issue or an actual giga issue, but the latency is SO bad. i live in the west and work in the southern central region, there is always latency whenever i enter the region and vice versa. same thing if i were to travel out to other regions. gosh. hope it will get better.

Hey there! I am using giga at the moment, no teething issues. They are owned by Starhub and use the same network. One main consideration of choosing a MVNO/telco is network coverage and performance, so if Singtel has been working well for you, you may want to switch to a MVNO that runs on Singtel's network, such as Gomo or Grid.

You can also hop between the different MVNOs to try them out since they have no minimum commitment period, except for Circles Life and Vivifi, which require at least 2 billing cycles.

Addendum: Speak of the devil... a day after praising giga, I faced major problems using it at Tiong Bahru Plaza! Had full bars of 4G signal but could hardly load anything. Hopefully this is just a one-time issue.

Hi there! I am a Giga user for almost a year. Didnt face much issues here. Cheap and can roll over the data to next month as well. Network wise, there are some blindspots but generally still ok.

I have been a giga user for.. i think coming to a year? No issues for me. Everything is actually pre...
