I am aware that if you want to port over your number from a previous telco, you should change the ownership to your own name first and then port over using your IC, but can I just use my parent's IC to transfer over?

Hi Alphaeus! Yes, you're able to port over using your parent's IC, but the GOMO line will be registered under your parent's name. We strongly advise you to transfer the ownership of the mobile line first before porting over.

Hi actually I would recommend you to port over to myrepublic as it allows you to port over and do a ownership transfer at no cost. Process was smooth all done online.
