My DBS visa card details were stolen and used for 3K+ of transactions across 2 mths

Update: DBS has been very good in terms of service recovery. Am very happy that all IDed fraudulent transactions were refunded after 2 weeks!

Anyone had the same experience?

Discovered only 2 days ago after I check my transactions
More than 50 transactions ranging $2 to $98 USD
Total ard $3k USD wiped
No OTP nor sms / email alerts

Cancelled the card with bank already, Bank says will take 7-14 days to TRY provide refunds

It seems like the transactions were done to avoid triggering the default threshold amount. But I think now the banks have set the amounts to lower.

You could see if it’s possible to set transaction alerts for any transaction above $1 in future so that you be notified. Do also check the e-statements regularly too. Sometimes it’s out of sight out of mind.

Hope you can recover the money.
