[Useful For...] Not an issues use any whwere. Personally, feel that the card and the printing looks very cheap. Not feeling empowered to use the card for expenses.

      DBS Visa Debit Card

Debit card with a nice design and good cashback promotions. I like that it is also a multi-currency card so you can use it for overseas spending.

Decent - it came with my account opening, but I have since cancelled it and consolidated access to my CASA accounts into one card (my credit card).

It was my very first debit card and I am still using it till this day. It is simple to apply and fuss free. The perks is that there is cashback when you spend at least a $100. So it is possible to plan and hit the requirements to save more money.

      DBS Visa Debit Card

In Summary It is simple, easy to use and a fuss-free, no-frills Debit Card from one of the 3 trusted well-known local bank. - I am a DBS retail banking customer. - Viewing my savings and expenditure in a single location is important to me. DBS digibank Application is easy to use and the dashboard view can see all the allocation in a single view. - I have read through some of the previous reviews consolidated and added some of my own experiences to it. - I have been a customer of DBS since a kid I started off with the POSB Kids Savings account (I had a very colourful bank book with a squirrel on it) —> than the DBS E Savers (when I got my first part time job during school holidays and I got my first Debit card) —> DBS multi currency savings account (for my current needs) - I am attracted by their banking philosophy of live more, bank less. As a customer & shareholder I love DBS’s obsession about digitalising and making things effortless. - DBS Visa Debit Card was my very first card when I was still a student and still have it till this day, even though usage has dropped a lot to like zero especially since i started working and applied for my DBS altitude credit card which I now channel most of my expenses (previously charged to the debit card) through so I can collect DBS points which can be covered to air miles Adulting evolution: ATM card —> Debit Card —> Credit Card - Easy to apply for and use for online payments, especially if you don't have credit cards yet. - Account statement is also provided for checking of transactions every month. - Great card to have when you are a student to earn cashback Useful For... - General shopping for rebates and cash-backs (good when you are a student I guess button when you can get a credit card use them wisely) - Currently I am looking to use the debit card for my overseas trip as I have a multi currency account with DBS and the debit card does not have the exorbitant FX conversion fees that DBS Altitude Card has. So maybe repurposing the DBS debit card to a travel card could be a good option. Promotions and Perks - Will love to have more regular promos -but than again I am terrible at using the promos Hidden Terms of fees - None! Customer Service - I have had no issues so far with DBS customer service. - I think for me I don’t really look for service as long as my issue can be resolved in a timely manner and updates as to what is happening with my request is being told to me, I hate my queries being bounced around from department to department. - So far no such issues. There is a minimum spend? - I haven’t been aware of a mimimum spend on this card.

Features & Benefits of DBS Visa Debit Card

The coolest thing about the DBS Visa Debit card is that you can still earn up to 3% cashback when you spend on everyday necessities like online food delivery, local transport, local Visa contactless spend... and the occasional online purchase in foreign currency.

      • 3% cashback on online food delivery
      • 3% cashback on local transport (ride-hailing, taxis, public transport via SimplyGO)
      • 2% cashback on all foreign currency spend (including online purchase)
      • 1% cashback on local contactless spend (via Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, Visa PayWave)

      There's one small catch though.

You need to spend at least S$500 a month and have to make sure that your POSB/DBS cash withdrawals are $400 and below in the same month.

But if you plan your budget carefully and track it to a T, this shouldn't be an issue!

Overall, the amount of cashback you can get is capped at S$20 per month.
