I am new to investment. I’m thinking of doing RSP using FSMOne. What are the differences between the categories such as fixed income and equity? Should I do RSP for both categories or pick either category?

I have read up on some of the articles about how to choose ETF and understand that there are some factors to take note of:

  • tracking error
  • expenses ration
  • liquidity

How do I check out for those factors listed above on FSMOne?

If you are looking at doing RSP using FSMOne, you have to select from their list.

You can use etf.com to check the tracking error, expenses ratio. As for liquidity, It doesn't really matter for me because for ETF RSP, you are not trading it. You are buying long term and hold.

Fixed Income are your bonds while Equity is your index etf, thematic etf or sector etf. When talking about FSMOne ETF RSP.

If you like to think of an allocation for equity and fixed income, you can use 110-Age to determine the stocks allocation.
