      Standard Chartered Platinum Visa Card

[Update: 3 August 2020] Do take note that if you're using this card to pay for investment courses, The Smart Investor course will not be counted towards points accumulation. I had opened a Case ID with them in Jun, to understand why this wasn't counted but another investment course is OK (The Fifth Person). Investment courses are not recurring purchases like insurance premiums. I can understand why they will exclude insurance premiums, but I totally can't get it for the courses. There was no reply from them at all throughout. I even called on 19 Jun and they acknowledged it. In the end, I gave up chasing them for a reply. No point waste my time. As for fee waiver, they gave it to me automatically on 9 Jul, without me calling to request. I don't know if it's because I wrote to them on the above and maybe they thought I wanted a waiver. 🤷‍♀️ Or perhaps to appease me! Hahaha. *** This is my everyday card, from buying air tickets to groceries. I have other cards from other banks, but they're only used on ad-hoc basis for dining purpose. I simply like accumulating points and Standard Chartered has good rewards for redemption. Plus the points accumulated can last for a while. I don't like too complicated stuff, so this card works for me.

      Standard Chartered Platinum Visa Card

[Cashback Card] I have used Standard Chartered Manhattan Platinum card since 2001 more than 19 years. It is very useful and the cashback is good but even though the rate is not a lot but it auto cash back is convenience and hassle-free. Moreover I receive the bill on the 7th of the month which is just few days after my paycheck. It is a nice timing. Importantly is the security feature, because I like to purchase online. When I place order no matter how little the amount, the credit card to activate a OTP to my cell phone for verification. It let me have a secure and peace in mind that my card will not use by unauthorized person or transaction. So I frequently use this card even though I have a lot of other credit cards
