      SAFRA DBS Card

[Useful For...] Pros : 3% Cashback, min. spending of $500 per calendar month required, any lower amount will give 1/10 cashback of 0.3% instead. Cons : Capped cashback limit of $50 cashback (SAFRA$), of max spending of $1,666.67 per calendar month. 1 of my first Credit cards back in July 2013 (before taking up OCBC Frank Card back then), as part of the flyer ads found on 1 of the POSB ATMs. Lower min. monthly spending of $500 for a decent 3% cashback (no exclusions and categories to keep track, redeem SAFRA$ via POSB / DBS Internet Banking facility). Cannot hold a candle on those enhanced category cashback cards (DBS Live Fresh, OCBC Frank) but these cards are at a minimum of $600 per month spending, with a set limit of $20 / $25 per cashback category. Annual Fee : Tied to your SAFRA membership card, which is $28 / membership year (can earn back with 2 months of min $500 spending with the card @ $15 per month), or just simply get a promotional deal for SAFRA membership (I got mine extended from 1 year to 3 years, Dec 2024 to Dec 2027, at a promo cost of $40 per extension, which in turn to be just $13.33 / membership year) Extra perks : You get to have free entry to certain SAFRA clubhouse facilities islandwide (Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines, Toa Payoh, Yishun and Carpenter Street (Dining Club), for access to SAFRA swimming pools and badminton courts, for instances.

Really solid "cashback" card. If you are a Singaporean male, having served National Service, and likely to spend between S$500 to S$1,666.67 per month, you are really better off with the SAFRA DBS Credit Card. It provides 3% cashback, capped at S$50 (which is better than what most cards do for that spending range). [Fee Waivers] No fees - they are part of your SAFRA membership. [Cashback Card] However, there are some limitations in terms of category of spending. If you have large spending or spending that do not qualify with the SAFRA DBS Credit Card, you may get the UOB AMEX Absolute Cashback Card, which offers 1.7%. Need a MasterCard or Visa instead? Top up your GrabPay wallet and you're good to go.

Min spend $500 (soft-max $1667) for 3% cashback on most contactless/online spending. A "free" decent card assuming you have the SAFRA membership that is relatively fuss-free too. Note that cashback needs to be manually redeemed via SAFRA$.

It's a SAFRA card (discount), ATM card and credit card (though nothing particular good as compared to other cards).

Not sure why there's not much talk about this card. I basically use this card as my main card. I love that there is no renewal fee besides your Safra membership, which can be obtained for pretty cheap. The cash back is nice too, there isn't much to consider in terms of spending while using the card.

[Useful For...] Fuss-free contact-less and online spending (min spend $500) with no category cap. With 3% cashback capped at 50 SAFRA$, you have up to $1667 that can get cashback. [Card Hacks] Since the fee waiver is determined by SAFRA membership, you can use this as an all or nothing card, i.e. use other cards if spending is low [won't need to fee waiver this card anyway], and use this card for up to 3% if spending is near mid-high range.
