Why does the original adviser still retain a commission portion even when I decide to switch to a new adviser?

My original adviser has poor customer service. Why did he can retain the commission even though i am no longer served by him if i've already switched to a new adviser?

I feel u bro/sis. unfortunately this depends much on the insurer remuneration policy.

those scumbags only care about pushing sales. anything happens, they disappear. only appear when they want to push more products.

there is probbly nothing we can do about the commissions, but what i did was to complain to MAS about their bad service. and MAS gave contact of their head CS manager, (not the normal CS officer). hopefully enough consumers complain those scums, they get bad records and will never get to harm other people ever again.

Some insurers allow comms to transfer. Not all retain comms to original advisor. So you'll need to check with the insurer and maybe even the agency.

But I think you probably need to also understand advisors aren't paid for customer service. We're paid for providing advice. Commissions is paid when advice is given.

Customer service is added value service provided by the advisor FOC (pretty much).
