When saving up to purchase a condo within 3 years, where would you park the funds you are accumulating?

The options I'm considering are:

  1. Individual Stocks
  2. S&P 500
  3. Syfe Cash+
  4. CPF OA
  5. DBS Multiplier

Would like to mention that this potential condo purchase is for investment purposes and not for personal stay. Please let me know if there is another option I should look into. Thanks!

I feel that stocks and ETFs are relatively risky since you have only a short period of time. Syfe Cash+ invest in a money market fund which invests in high-quality investment-grade and very short-term government and corporate debt instruments. Hence, there is still a risk of losing some money despite the occurrence being rare.

For DBS Multiplier, it is still a relatively good option as all the capital is guaranteed by the bank. Hence, the risk of losing your money will be almost zero. You can also see this article to know more about different fixed deposits https://blog.seedly.sg/best-fixed-deposit-rate-....

Other options that you can look into include SSBs, any Robo cash management that invests in Fullerton SGD Cash Fund such as MoneyOwl, Moomoo since cash fund has lower risk as compared to money market fund like Syfe Cash+. • 5% cash downpayment can be alot.
  • Now a good condo, ~$2000 psf. 3 year later maybe higher, maybe $2M for a 2 bedder? Which required $100k (exclude other fee)
  • Unless you can save $100k easily, you should not put in stock market because volatility can vary +/- 20 - 30%.
  • Should not put in CPF because, is locked cant use for the 5% downpayment.
  • Cash management underlying are bond funds will also go up & down.
  • should consider capital guaranteed option, high interest saving account, fixed deposit, SSB....
