What is the most important factor to consider with so many Electricity Retailers out there now?

Thank you for reaching out and for looking out for a new Electricity Retailer. There are no one size fit all solution while searching for an electricity retailer. For example, for Ohm our philosophy is that we aim to be fair to all our customers so we will not have different rates on different platforms (Promotion and offers may vary though but rates will always be the same). All residential customer will have to go through our online portal to sign up and the rates will be the same for every one.

Some of items that you may wish to look out for:

a. Consolidated billing (We offer the convenience the fuss-free billing) and on the same SP billing and the same payment arrangement. If you were previously on hardcopy billing, there are no additional fees to continue on this.

b. A responsive customer service. As it is, there may not be any issues during the switching process but when you hit with a snag and wish to reach out to find out more, it may be advisable to know that you have the comfort that we will try our best to get back to you as soon as possible if time permits us to so do.

c. On renewal terms, do find out if you will be renewed on a rate which is can be alot lower (e.g. 2% off the regulated tariff if you forget) or if you may be renewed into a different price plan (if applicable) if you forget

d. Any Early Termination fees. Most contracted price plan will incur an early termination fee. Do make sure that you are able to commit to a certain contractual period before you sign up for a contract plan. A longer term contract with a lower rate may not necessary suit your criteria.
