My advisor advised me to invest into one particular US growth equity fund for the long term. I also want to start other investments for comparison. After 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, we shall see the difference in performance. Active fund management vs passive and systematic investment.
I will DCA each portfolio with the same amount at roughly the same day of every month. At the end of each period, we can have a more accurate comparison of the performances.
Has anyone tried this before? What are your results? Any other advise or suggestion of funds to invest?

Not sure which US fund your FA recommends. You may consider S&P 500 ETF, although it is a passive index fund.
