Should I move my current investments to Endowus since they reduced their minimum amount to $888?

With Endowus reducing their minimum amount to $888, would moving my current investments into Endowus make sense? Or will it make sense to invest into both Syfe and Endowus? Not sure the difference between performance of mutual funds vs ETFs

Noob at Idiots Invest

No point transferring portfolios. They invest in slightly different underlying securities so it's not an apples to apples comparison. Syfe being slightly tilted to US markets compared to Endowus.

Also, as you read more, you'll realise there isn't such a clear cut "mutual fund vs ETF" comparison.

But if you had a sum of money sitting at the side waiting to invest with Endowus (but couldn't previously because of the $10k minimum investment), now would definitely be a good time to jump in.

Read CH's answer, it summarises the differences quite nicely.

Not a fair comparison, if you ask me. both have different basket of funds and probably different trigger points for rebalancing.

but if we were just to look at one comparible fund, syfe's ishares s&p500 ucits etf (TER 0.07%) vs endowus' infinity us500 fund (TER: 0.71%), we can probably argue that etf is more cost effective.

of course there are other considerations such as access fees - syfe is slightly higher at the lowest tier: 0.65% vs endowus 0.6%; minimum top up (syfe no minimum vs endowus min $100).

unless you get free access fee with endowus, or unless fundamental changes in syfe, i don't believe it makes sense to transfer from syfe. what i might do is continue with syfe and start a new portfolio with endowus.

hope this helps

disclaimer: i have accounts with both syfe and endowus.
