Hi Anon, I assume that you are considering to sign up for MyRepublic's Lite plan, which includes the following:

The short answer to your question is that there is no minimum period for MyRepublic's Lite Plan.
However, there are some things you should consider before signing up:
1. Sign-Up Fees
Currently, there is a $5.35 delivery fee (originally $10.70, 50% off delivery promotion ongoing) for the SIM card, unless you sign up and collect your SIM card at any of MyRepublic's stores.
2. Termination Fees
Here is an extract of the terms of use for mobile plans from MyRepublic's website:
18. Suspension or Terminating the Services
18.1. Services shall continue after the expiry of the Service Commitment unless terminated. If you wish to suspend or terminate any or all the Services or our Agreement, you can contact our Customer Service. Services with or without a minimum contract period can be cancelled by you by giving us at least three (3) days’ notice unless otherwise provided. Your Service will be deactivated upon our acceptance of your termination request. Upon termination, certain Charges as set out in Clause 18.7 will apply to you.
18.7. Unless otherwise stated, you will be liable for all Charges incurred (without pro-ration) and such Charges shall be immediately due and payable upon Service termination. You will not obtain a refund on any Charges paid regardless of effective date of termination.
As there is no minimum contract period for the Lite Plan, you would be able to cancel your plan by giving MyRepublic at least 3 days' notice, or by porting over to another telco with your phone number, where your new telco would terminate your contract and port your phone number.
You should also note that any remaining balance would not be refunded to you (without pro-ration). For example if your plan renews on the 1st of every month, and you decide to terminate your contract on the 2nd, you will not be refunded the whole month's bill (as far as I understand from the T&C).
3. Is there a better plan?
You should consider your plan usage when choosing a one. Seedly has a comparison tool where you can compare the different sim-only plans currently available. A quick search for plans in the $10-15 range yields the following results:

To find a plan that suits you, consider the folllowing: Are you a heavy data user? Are you signing up for the plan just for calls and SMS? Do you want rollover data? Do you require underground coverage? Do you make calls overseas frequently?
At first glance, TPG's plans seem very attractive for the same price as the Lite Plan, at $10 for 100GB. Their above-ground coverage seems to be great for most areas as seen from npref.com. However, they are still working on expanding on their underground coverage as of 2nd April 2020, with full network coverage in MRTs for the North-East Line and Thomson-East Coast Line.
Comparing the plans in the $10-15 range, giga!'s $10 plan seems to be good if you make a lot of calls and SMSes, and they also offer rollover data if you are not a heavy data user.
CMLink's $10 plan allows for 100 minutes of international calls, and also free data roaming in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Personally, I am subscribed to MyRepublic's Core Plan, which offers 50GB, 500 minutes of calls and 500 SMSes at $17 monthly.
I hope this helps you to make a better decision before signing up for a plan.
