You have to check your employment contract to see if a sideline is allowed, especially one of similar nature.
It's actually good to try as part time for you to calculate the cost needed.
Then you have to ensure your client base is big enough to support you financially.
The biggest advantage in home based is definitely the freedom & flexibility.

It is good that you have the idea of doing home base.
Make the necessary preparation, calculation, and try doing as a side first.
If you think you can make it work then transit full time.
Also yea, be mindful of the clientele, might be different group of audience in terms of their needs. And also try not to poach too outrightly, in case people complain you at work.

You can do that but you need to consider what about your employer CPF contribution. Will your home base sales be able to match that because now you are self employed.
I'm not sure how your contract is but what about employee benefits like medical. If you fall sick the MC fees can be quite high.
