For example, I made 3 buy trades @ $10, $18, $20 of 100 shares each. How we can I just sell the 100 shares of $18 at $18 instead at average price of $16? I can do this in saxo but cant figure out how to in interactive brokers. Thanks

This is not possible if not held in different accounts,
and also makes no sense.
the only exception being tax purposes with the first in first out rule.

Hi Weiyang,
I believe this is not possible across different platforms. Because you have already average the stock to $16 as you have mentioned. One way you can do it as what you mentioned is to wait for the stock to rise to $18 and sell it off. In this case, you will need to set a limit price of $18 on the market open.
Otherwise, you can only sell them at the value of the market, eg. stock at market open is $16.50 and someone wants to buy the stock at $16.90, then you can sell it off at $16.90.
I've been an IB user for quite a few years but have not encounter such function or feature across other trading platform. Hope this helps.
