In Pri 1 (2004) I used to get $1/day, and I remember getting a plate of nasi ayam 🍗 for 70 cents, polo snack 🍪 for 30 cents, milo 🥤 was a luxury at 80 cents. Used to rampage the school bookshop for country/Pokemon erasers at 10 cents for eraser fights ✏️. Occasional visits to secret HDB units where they sold 30 cents ice pop! 🍧

Have about $1-$2 in primary school - which is sufficient just for meals. I think it was around $6 maximum in secondary school - which was again just sufficient for meals.
I love to spend it on snacks and sweets. The guilty pleasure when I was a kid. Growing up, I realised that I can save quite a bit if I did not spend on these and went on to minimize such spendings!

Hi Anon! Your question brings back a lot of memories for me haha. I can't remember exactly how much pocket money I received but it is around the same as what you received.
I was quite a playful kid back then so I would save up money and spend it on items such as wooden rulers for "sword fighting", inflatable paper ball (I bought quite a few of this because it always gets torn), personalised name stickers and stamp and a wallet spring keychain (a primary school kid essential).

I got 50 cents or $1 per day during primary school, depending on whether I had CCA after school or not. A small plate of bee hoon/mee would be 30 cents. I'd add 1 slice of fish cake for 10 cents, then either save the remaining 10 cents and accumulate to buy something better (such as fried hotdog, ice cream, a cup of drink) the next time, or spend it on a country eraser :)
