I have just been laid off by my company. Would like to seek opinions on how is the job market looking for 2021 and when/how should I seek help if i cant get a new job after 3 months?

I am in my early 30s though most would regard me as a young jobseeker, it has been >6 years since I graduated from university. Would appreciate any career advise as I am feeling rather dejected and loss from the situation.

Hey don’t feel down! Here are some options you have:

• Get your grant money since you just got laid off to tide you over the tough times. Up to $700 for 3 months!
The COVID-19 Recovery Grant (CRG) provides temporary financial support to workers in lower- to middle-income households who experienced involuntary job loss, involuntary no-pay leave (NPL) or income loss due to the economic impact of COVID-19. • Above 25, upskill with Skillsfuture using your credit and if you’re bold, go for a career switch, you might just find good opportunities there that you never expected to come across.

• Apply for SGUNITED Traineeships. Meanwhile, while market down, retrenchments ongoing, a traineeship might just help and may turn into a fruitful full-time job!

Here’s 3 off the top of my head!
