I think each has its own merits and it really boils down to the investment methodology. Currently, i just started using endowus and have been seeing quite good returns. You can start investing by using robo advisors if you are unsure of what to invest in. However, due dilligence is still required when investing in any product/service. I tried Syfe Global ARI from Nov 2020 to see if it delivers and would be a suitable passive investment. It has not, for me and i did speak to Syfe who explain that this was primarily due to the uncertainity of the US market then and will see better days when it has stabilised. I believe it has stabilised quite a bit with Biden in place and unfortunately, when the US markets was up Global ARI never went up, and when it was done, it followed downwards. I would say that 99.99% of the time when i look at its performance, it has been negative.

A key consideration is estate taxes which can range from 30-40%, in particular US domiciled etfs. This is a neglected topic by many. Imagine 30-40% of your wealth taken away from your beneficiaries upon your passing.
How do Robos manage this ?
