Can I buy ARK ETF from DBS Vickers? What are the pros and cons using Interactive Brokers if my approach is DCA? Also considering getting StanChart as I heard fees are low?

Which platform should I use to buy ARK ETFs?

The fees are so high especially if you are going for DCA. Why not use something like TD Ameritrade, literally 0 commissions. Previously 2nd largest broker in the world which now has joined with the 1st, Charles Schwab.

Hey there!

Buying ARK ETFs through DBS Vickers, while possible, is not advised. This is mainly due the custodian fee in DBS Vickers for foreign shares, which sits currently $2/month per counter (capped at $150/month).

Regarding Interactive Brokers, while the comms are much cheaper (~USD 1), they do charge an inactivity charge (USD 10/month or USD 3 if you're 25 and under). This inactivity charge will reduce with the comms you spend (e.g. if you spend USD 2 in comms, your inactivity fee will be USD 8 (USD 10 - USD 2). So this is a thing that you might wish to consider.

Standard Chartered, while their comms are low compared to some of the local brokers, are still expensive compared to foreign brokers.

If I had to recommend, I would probably choose Tiger Brokers, which has pretty low comms at USD 1.99/trade and access to US/HK/SG markets. Account approval is also pretty quick (same day approval).

You can take a look at my broker comparison here too for more details!
