      Razer Card

I will briefly summarise on the prizes that can be easily redeemed (based on my perspective as a student) 1) Free Razer Mask including shipping (worth $56.90) 2) 1 transaction minimum $5 using Razer Pay and receive $5 credit 3) 10 transactions with each transaction minimum $5 and receive Razer Hydrator water bottle ($44.90) 4) Spend $50 and receive $5 credit 5) Spend $200 and receive a Razer Tetra ($49.90) 6) Refer 1 user and receive $5 credit Total Value of the rewards = $15 credit + $151.70 worth of Razer Products (after spending about $200 using Razer Pay in total). You are basically having more than 80% returns/cashback (in terms of credit and Razer products) on your spending. For the subsequent tiers in Pay and Spend categories, it would be relatively harder as spending $2000 from now (16th December) till 31st January would mean spending an average of $43/daily. And reaching 150 transactions means having at least 3.26 transactions/day. However, given the double cashback from topping up to Razer Pay from your debit/credit card and 1% cashback from Razer card together with all the prizes, I feel that it is too good of a deal to be missing out on. Personally, I will be using my Standard Chartered (SCB) Jumpstart Card to top up to Razer Pay Card to receive 1% cashback from SCB Jumpstart. So, in total, I will be getting 2% cashback on ALL of my transactions during this period. Also, there is a trick where you can top up to Youtrip, Shopee and Revolut and it counts as 1 transaction (min. $5), hence I will also be doing so when I need to complete the 2nd tier nearing the end of this Beta period.

TL;DR - The Razer card is the old Grabpay card! 1) Double/Triple dip (Additional 1% cashback) You would understand this if you have used the GrabPay card previously. Basically, on top of your usual credit/debit card rebates, you'll be able to receive an additional 1% cashback if you top up your Razer wallet using your credit card, and use your Razer card for your purchases as the Razer card offers 1% cashback on all transactions. Previously, the GrabPay card was pretty hyped as well due to this double dip, i.e. earning the usual rebates from their credit/debit card for topping up their GrabPay wallet, and using their GrabPay card which offers points that can be exchanged for vouchers. However, after both VISA and Mastercard revised the MCC of GrabPay Wallet top-ups, subsequent wallet top-ups were not eligible for credit card rewards anymore and I ditched the card thereafter. 2) Lots of freebies As part of the Razer card beta program, you can redeem a variety of Razer products for free -100% free, no shipping fees or whatsoever, and it'll be delivered right to your doorstep within a couple of days. Personally, I'm not really a gamer (perhaps just some light gaming occasionally), so I chose to sell the Razer products which I've received thus far, in exchange for cash. Here are the Razer rewards that I've received thus far: - $15 credit (cashback) - Razer Tetra (sold for $34.90) - Razer Hydrator (sold for $20) - Razer Reusable Mask (sold for $19.90) - Razer Nari Headset (pending sale, listed for $140) - Razer Premium card (pending delivery in 2021) On a side note, Razer has extended the card beta program till 31 January 2021, so do be sure to indicate your interest if you're keen! For me, I'll continue using the Razer card even after the beta program, until VISA revises the MCC to exclude top-ups to Razer wallet.

Pros: - Get 1% unlimited cashback on all purchases with no TnC. Probably a really good option for students who has limited choices when it comes to debit card Cons: - Do not get notifications when transactions fail - App is pretty slow and feels quite bad for a tech company of Razer's size Others: - Received tonnes of goodies from the beta program! Not really a Razer friend so I sold most of it :p
