Robo-advisor runs on ETF based strategies. So it boils down to active (ETFs) vs passive (ROBO) investing, in some sense. To understand it better you can visit our website too.
I work at kristal.AI, and my mojo is to help people make the right financial decisions.

If you think I helped you, do give me "Thumbs up". If you think my response was biased, let me know, I will work on it.

Most roboadvisors invest in ETFs. These are the same ETFs you can buy yourself.

But here's what you pay for.

Advice on your asset allocation. Rebalancing to keep your asset exposure constant. Monitoring and reporting. And purchasing odd lots of multiple ETFs which can be at different prices, etc.

You pay typically 0.2%-1% on top of the ETF fees for the above service.
