I'm currently using Singtel's SIM-Only plan, but might want to change out!
I've been using Starhub for many years, very stable network connection. As far as I recall, didn't experience any downtime nor issues. Customer service is great too! Thanks to Circles.Life, Starhub now offers rather attractive SIM only plans, especially for tertiary students. Check it out here - http://www.starhub.com/personal/mobile/mobile-phones-plans/postpaid-plans/sim-only-plans.html
Tried Circles.Life too, customer service is pretty good but experienced downtime before where 3/4G was suddenly cut off. Had to restart and wait for awhile before it went back to normal.
I am currently using M1 Sim-E 118 plan... It gives you unlimited talk time, sms and "unlimited" data (up to 50gb @ full speed, 1mbps speed @ unlimited after your 50gb data used.) So far data connection wise quite stable and reasonable speed while on the go, except NEL which is horrible during peak hours... You can switch to 3G network when u r in NEL if urgently need to use mobile data.
One of the best using M1 would be the data passport which allows you to bring 30gb local data to overseas at a minimal charge... It will be good for those who always travel around...
My choice of the Best: Circle Life.
(note: add $2 for unlimited incoming calls, since the 100 mins is TALKTIME not Outgoing call time)
In modern mobile usage, we don't call out much, we dont' really SMS, these 2 are minimal.
We still receive some calls and we use Data the most due to smart phone usage. Thus this is the best modern all rounder plan.
The only downside is that they don't subsidize phone because it's a no contract plan so you can go / change anytime.
Read all Seedly user review of telco here, especially Circle life: https://seedly.sg/reviews/telco-mobile-plans/circles-life
I've been with M1 ever since I got my first phone(that's a good 7 years), and I must say that the few times that I've had to call customer service regarding an extra fee or queries on my data plan, the customer service officer has often been professional and helpful.
I dread dealing with CS because I feel bad for taking up their time on their long list of calls, but also dread having to go back and forth if there happens to be an elaborate issue (which I thankfully have not faced in my time with my M1).
CS: Great, but subjective
Pricing: Not the most competitive, this is one factor that makes me look to other telcos
Connection: Have had connection interrupted maybe twice or thrice where I can remember? But on a whole pretty decent and stable I would say
Have had a good experience so far, so will probably continue to stick with them for the time being!
No single right answer cos it depends on your needs.
Just stay away from plans that are bundled with phones unless u have a huge discount from somewhere else. And remember after 2 years u will still be paying the same monthly rate even tho u have finished paying for ur phone in instalments.
Also note singtel and starhub sim only plans quietly take away a lot of your data, all talktime and sms after 1 year (depending on the plan). This is unless u purposely contact them to ask them to renew, and im not even sure whether that works.
Circles life i heard a loooot of data.
Tried the following telcos in the list.
Pricing wise so far is Starhub having the cheapest deal with good bundled data pack, 9GB data with Weekend Unlimited Data, 200 mins talktime (no SMS though), for the price of $24 (add $6 for 3GB Data after first 6 months).
Comes with free CallerID for 2 years (CIS benefit), Starhub XS (SIM-Only) plan.
M1 sim only plan! Cheap, no service issues, been using since donkey years ago already.
Circle Life is better and flexible ! Better telcom i would recommend
Circles.life without a doubt. The app is brilliant, but shifted out due to data being capped. The top 3 telcos are outright scams imo. Better value at smaller telcos
