$10 is the minimum brokerage fee in Singapore for stock brokerages. Not sure if there was a typo in your question.

Let’s assume that you meant $10k, if you need to use the $10k for something within the next 2 years, you should not be trading with it. Best to put it in a high interest rate savings account.
