I think straight away jumping to freelance is a huge risk to take. Alternatively I am looking to start a side gig first and see where it takes me from there. This way I get to experience “freelancing” and also have the job security that I have now. If my side gig turns out to be a huge success, at least by then I can confidently switch over.
