Ironically the best investment I've made is one that I didn't expect to make any money in the short term from.
I bought some shares of Electra Meccanica (SOLO) and somehow, due to a single Bloomberg coverage the following day, coupled with some news about Tesla, the share price jumped from US$1.92 to US$5.60 in 2/3 days if i recall correctly.
Moral of the story: stock prices may move without any sound reason/logic and one should never assume that returns based on sheer luck like this are sustainable.
Dumb luck was one putting in down buy order on stock I was watching for a few months and that same day after market close was announcement that it was a take over target. 30% gain in less than 24 hours is nice.
Paying to attend a workshop on options portfolio management. And attending the pro level one to get even higher returns. Targeting 60% pa compounded this year
