Hi,
Understand that you are looking at investing on the SGX...different people have different take on risk, their personality portfolio and etc...
You cannot ask any1 for stocks to buy, its like asking me today 4D, what should i buy? Its almost based on luck....
I can give some basic advise for u to start...
First, understand your risk...if today the market go down 30%, what is your reaction? Sell? Buy more? Or hold?
Second, your budget, we emphasis on emergency funds so that you will not gamble all your money on investment...during this crisis, people who suffer losses on stock market...some might also suffer paycut suffer business losses...but still have to pay bills, mortgages, insurances...etc.
third, Construct your portfolio by sectors and geographical locations...For example, in SIngapore which sector i can focus on? financial? since singapore is a financial hub. REITs? passive income. healthcare? defensive stock? etc..
I hope all these help u in your progress towards investment.
