Revolut vs Youtrip ease of use?

I would like to know whether subsequent topping up using credit card would need additional verification(OTP etc) for both of these?

I use both as well. for revolut it is good as you can withdraw cash at ATMs in your travelling destination while youtrip requires a 5 dollar fee. both uses apple pay to top up and just need your fingerprint which is very easy. however if there are any issues, then youtrip has faster customer service compared to revolut. my suggestion is to just get 2 cards.

I am using Revolut and YouTrip as well. The top-up process is similar for both cards. OTPs are sent to YouTrip to verify your device when launching the app if you haven't used the app for some time. No OTPs are sent in Revolut. Apple Pay top-up is supported only in the Revolut.

I use both. :) YouTrip requires OTP only for the first few times. For Revolut, I no longer get OTPs after several top-ups - more than YouTrip, but not a hassle in time.

(I assume hassle because we switch SIMs when overseas, which makes OTP tough at times.)

Both cards work similarly in terms of top-up. In most cases, an OTP is required for authentication for top-up from the bank's side, using a common security system call 3DS.

Here is everything about me and what I do best.

I read somewhere that Revolut requires OTP during credit card top ups but my friend used Youtrip does not require any OTP during credit card (DBS) top up. So not sure whether Revolut needs OTP every single time. It can be a hassle when you are overseas and you dont have the sim with you

Yes, I agree with you. I have both cards and haven't face such issues yet. I will do further testing and write a blog review on each card in the near future (I have a trip upcoming next week). Do consider to like and follow me on my Facebook Page and subscribe to my blog's newsletter if you are keen to find out more on the real world test.

The OTP is triggered by the bank that issues the credit card you are using to top up. Revolut and YouTrip can't control that
