Yes per claim, but some insurers have allowed up to $350,000 now as well.

So if you have $500,000 that allows 2 claims of $250,000 if that's the limit for your insurer.

Early CI claims are capped at 250k or up to 350k per insurer, with a maximum aggregation of $3M per life assured.

You will need to get from multiple insurers, if you ever need that much early CI coverage for yourself. ​​​
