Sorry to hear that. Consider getting the flat ownership transferred to you and one parent, or to just one parent - hdb may allow. But u will need to sort out who will continue servicing the loan and expenses, and what needs to be refunded to cpf.

You can live on your own, but there is no rental flat subsidy unless u are going to get married.

There's a Government initiative to help low-income families living in rental flats. What about middle-income families that just passed the criteria classified as middle-income? What help do they get?

Will be getting our place in 2 years' time... Should we rent or just save $$ and live with parents?
