I have 40k savings plan maturing soon this November. Any good recommendations on what to do with this spare money? And what to avoid?

Life Alchemist at School of Hard Knocks

It depends whether you want to learn how to invest. If you are risk-adverse, don't want to & the savings plan gives you a decent return, probably good to invest it back with the company.
