Could anyone who has experience with either let me know about the differences in terms of
Thanks so much!
I am a Zero1 user currently! It is definitely very economical, given that I was one of the first few users, so my plan is at $19.90 per month. Other than one serious outage for half a day a few months back, so far the reception is pretty good. I could not make calls or receive calls or receive any data that half day though, so that’s one thing to take into account. There is also no data roaming available, so if you need to receive sms to activate your credit card overseas, not possible: do that before you get overseas! Other than those mentioned, I have been using since inception and still going strong!
Before we go into details, let's discuss about which telco Zero 1 is partnering with. Zero1 leases network infrastructure with Singtel.
I do not use both of the telcos' mentioned so I am just looking at both plans for comparison to see which is a better deal.
For $29.99 with Zero1, you are getting 3GB of data in 4G speeds and unlimited data at managed speed thereafter. Besides that, you will get 200 mins talktime and 200 SMS. Caller ID is free too.
For $25 with M1, you are getting 30GB of data in 4G speeds, 1000 mins talktime and 1000 of SMS. Caller ID is free too. M1 also provides free services such as free flow weekend data, unlimited music streaming for Spotify.
Based on this, you can see that M1 SIM Only plan is better than Zero1's plan. You might argue that Zero 1 is giving more data because it is unlimited. I would suggest checking out the fair usage policy. The managed speed will also be slow so I am not sure whether you can take it?
For me, I would rather get M1 plan because I cannot stand slow speed because it will annoy me.
I've used Zero1 before, my review here:
In the same page there's also other review by other users. Do take a look.
In short, the service and connections still not very good compare to the 3 main telco and their sub product such as Singtel GOMO or Starhub Giga, except Circle Life has much better review among friends and innovative services / product.
